Our unit participate actively to several courses.

Mouse Genetic Course – Institut Pasteur Paris

This course provides training in the most topical areas of mouse Genetics. It concentrates on analysis of gene function at all levels: the gene and its product, the cell and cellular interactions, embryonic tissues and the entire animal.

Our unit is strongly involved in the organization of this course. Launched 20 years ago, this course is headed by Jean-Jacques Panthier and Xavier Montagutelli.  Other members of the Mouse Functional Genetics unit (Jérôme Artus, Michel Cohen-Tannoudji, Jean Jaubert, Sandrine Vandormael-Pournin) participate actively to this course.

Advance in Stem Cell Biology – Institut Pasteur Paris

This new course starting in 2013 will provide young scientists with a wide scope of how stem cells have adopted strategies to effect organogenesis and regeneration in different organisms.  It is part of a the training programme for young scientists offered by the REVIVE consortium.

Genetics of Laboratory Rodents  – Institut Pasteur de Montevideo

The aim of this course is to offer a training opportunity to South American research scientists and veterinarians in charge of laboratory animal facilities, in the most prominent areas of mammalian genetics. So far, two editions, co-organized by Martina Crespo (Unidad de Animales Transgénicos y de Experimentación) and Jean-Jacques Panthier (Mouse Functioal Genetics unit) were held in 2008 and 2011.
